More people have been empowered with information about dementia risk factors.
Ministerial approval was given for messages about dementia risk reduction to become mandatory in NHS Health Checks for people aged 40 to 64.
This follows a pilot project we ran with Public Health England and Alzheimer’s Society, in which people were given advice about reducing their risk of dementia at their Health Check. In a follow-up survey, 80% said the advice would have an impact on their behaviour.
